An orphaned blog?

Hmm... There were always big gaps between posts on this blog but it seems to get a bit out of hand lately, doesn't it? Well, the reason is that I changed my job within IBM and work on something different at the moment. After being a support engineer for SAN switches for quite a while now, it was time for a change. I went to IBM Lab Services where I mainly do software development at the moment. It's still related to storage and I still keep at least a toe - let's say a foot - in the SAN ocean. Particularly NVMe over Fibre Channel seems like an interesting but also quite challenging approach. Maybe you'll read something about that and related topics at this place in the future. Till then I contribute to Storageneers from time to time.
Oh and for my German-speaking visitors: Watch out for the new edition of Speichernetze releasing soon! Ulf Troppens brought together a group of storage experts to update the well-known German "standard work" about storage. This time I was honored to contribute to the I/O Techniques chapter.
Until then, have a nice start into 2019!
