Intergrity i4 Servers
Processor improvements: Double core count, increase frequency, shared cache plus reduced memory and socket latencies
Hardware Improvements: Memory bandwidth boost, SMI link speed increase, latency reductions,
Software Improvements: Dynamic Root Disk, improved performance in the mass storage stack, improved software licensing to increase utilization.
Overall HP Intergrity i4 server blades offer up to 3x performance increase over i2 with 21 less power consumed.
Higher performance: 8 cores per socket, 256 cores, 512 threads, allows mixture of CB900s i2 and CB900 i4 cell bales, 2.7x performance, 2x cores, higher bandwidth and enhance memory subsystems.
Energy saving: 8GB low-voltage DIMMs, 4TB per OS image.
Increased Availability: IO replacement on-line without downtime via PCIe OL, gives improved uptime via increase IOX thermal threshold and faster soft reboots.
New 16GB DIMM's give more room for larger and faster workloads
Higher performance: speed up your workload with 3.5x performance.
Greater efficiencies: Platinum PLUS power supplies (94% energy efficient).
BladeSystem c7000 Platinum Enclosure
Higher performance: up to 3x performance improvement for your workloads, improved rebuild time with SAS read-only cache.
Power Efficiency: less power, saving up to 30W per blade with low voltage DIMMs.
Future-proof infrastructure: Max and match HP Integrity/ProLiant/Storage blades, FlexFabric for LAN and SAN.
Consolidate with nPars: Integrity blades allow for double scalability within the same footprint increased virtual workload capacity with 8 CPU cores per socket for many VMs and vPars for blades.
Integrity blades FlexFabric allow for optimised connectivity of both SANs and LANs, adjustable bandwidth tailored to workload needs. Configurable storage and network connections from 4 FlexNICs per blade to 12 FlexNICs and 4 Flex HBAs per blades.
Cloud-ready: offering availability, security, scalability, manageability, flexibility and virtualisation.
Serviceguard for 11i v3: Maximize your uptime with fast failover, cluster verification, live application detach. Speed up disaster recovery and minimise data loss with 3PAR Remote Copy using Metrocluster.
HP Serviceguard has received SAP certification.
Matric OE Capaciry Analysis 7.2: Identify idle server and server approaching capacity limits, potential modeling for planning what could happen to workloads as you move them around.
nPartitions: electrical isolation of workloads, offered on Superdome 2 and Integrity blades.
Virtual Partitions: Scalable, dedicated and dynamic resources, v6 available on all systems via converged management.
Integrity VM: Dynamic, shared, resourcing and live mobility, Double VM sixe, virtualise FC and Direct I/O.
HP-UX Containers: Dynamic, shared resourcing within 1 OS, system containers for unique system and file space.
Consolidate HP 9000 environments:
HP 9000 containers are supported on Integrity servers running HP-UX 11i v3. This avoids application re-compiling, having to identify dependencies, configuration data and reconstruct environments. Allowing the HP 9000 systems to run on the new hardware and consolidate from the older systems without having to move/rebuild and test on the new hardware.
Storage: N-Port ID Virtualisation for vPars and VMs, so virtual FC ports share a physical FC port.
Coexistance: Virtual Machines and VPars can coexist on the same server. Move workloads between vPar and VMs, and consolidate your environments.
vPars dynamic memory: reconfigure vPar memory live without a reboot, live VSP memory resource pool sharing.
