Linux on Power for ISVs Technical Symposium - Thoughts and Presentation Material
Daniel Martin-Corben 270004CY29 Visits (867)
Its now been a week since the Linux on Power event, on the day we had 45 ISVs about 60 attendees this included 8 Distributors and partners. A number of good networking sessions went on during the breaks, and I've been told that several of the ISVs said they hadn't appreciated what we had been doing with PowerLinux or why, so now they understand they would investigate in more detail for their organisation.
We also ran a impromptu consultation for a new ISV on the Wednesday, as they had heard about the event too late to attend on Tuesday. We discussed how they could get their analytics based solutions onto the platform along with going through the material from event.

I'm very happy; never presented to that many people before, so you can imagine I was a touch hesitant at first. Had good interaction with a number of people at the event, and I've very keen to work with Nvidia looking at the GPU cards and GRID systems they are producing. It even looks like there might be a follow up event next year and some other spin off presentations I could do. The video from the day will be available sometime this week after the edits have been completed, once it's confirmed I'll get a link published here.
Finally big thanks to my wife Jax, as without her help staying up late to check my grammar and translate what I'd written into readable English my presentation could have terrible.
