Numero One-o is thehistoryof portable computing, which focuses on the history of the laptop. You haveheard of the IBM 5100 -- and of course the ThinkPad and the PowerBook areamong the most recognizable brands today. But if you are not alreadyfamiliar withAlan Kay's 1968 Dynabook idea, or the Commodore SX-64; orthe GRiD Compass 1100 and the Gavilan SC, this article is for you.
Numbero Two-o (and speaking of the PowerBook) is the MobilePC Top100 gadgets of all time. You're almost guaranteed to not agree with all of them (it would be difficult in such a list to swing that!) but you'll be surprised by some, delighted by some, and possibly even incensedby others. It's fun, and whiles away a bit of a rainy blue Monday.
(And if it's not raining where you are, just save them up for the next time it is =)
