Have you been following the excitement over at the Rational Software Conference in India this week?
I have. Just a tiny bit jealous of @katmandelstein
and co., especially after reading this entry from Pavan:
I wanna see!!!!
But Pavan has been doing a great job twittering the event for @rationalsupport
If you want a recap, you can visit http://www.twitter.com/rationalsupport.
Additionally, Pavan reports:
The Day 1 of RSC 09 Bangalore got over quite some hours ago. Due to issues related to internet connectivity we couldn't give live tweets for the first day. Hence, I am currently at my home and updating the tweets.
Nevertheless, I have tried covering almost all the updates of Day 1 onto tweets and hopefully would be able to give live tweets tomorrow, if not would do the same as done today.
As for the event, it's been awesome... special highlight being Grady's live video conference with the crowd in India. He shared with us his thoughts on the smart planet initiative.
Almost all the attendees for the event got themselves registered well before 8.30 AM and as a brownie point won themselves Grady's merchandise :)
There has been active participation from the attendees in attending to the various sessions, live demos and workshops. We expect the same for tomorrow as well.
Sounds like great fun. Stay tuned for more tomorrow!
Rational Software Conference comes to five Indian cities this week: Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, and New Delhi.
All the details can be found here:http://www-07.ibm.com/events/in/rsc2009/
Pavan Hoskeri, a Rational Support Engineer out of our Bangalore office, will be live-twittering the event for @rationalsupport
The hashtag for RSC2009 remains the same for all our global events (#rsc2009), so you can follow the action.
If you aren't following us yet on Twitter, now would be a good time to fix that! :-)

This is it! The final day of Rational Software Conference.
After a fun trip to Animal Kingdom last night, folks are attending the last sessions before the General Session wrap up at 11am, featuring Neeraj Chandra, Vice President, Worldwide Strategy, IBM Rational software leading a powerful panel to look at the future of smart products.
There will be a final live challenge for our "As Real As it Gets" reality show teams, and the conference prizes will be awarded.
Speaking of the reality show, it appears that there have been some ... irregularities... in the voting system. Attend the final wrap up to get the scoop.
Too much fun! :-)
Day 3 of the Rational Software Conference kicked off with a bang this morning, with an awesome keynote featuring Dr. David Ferrucci sharing some of the work behind creating a machine (codenamed "Watson") that will challenge some of the best human minds on Jeopardy, and special guests Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage of TV's Mythbusters.
They took questions from the audience and from Twitter. Unfortunately, even though Jamie brought a fire extinguisher on stage, they did NOT blow anything up here at the conference.
We did ASK, though!

Still racing around trying to take it all in and failing miserably.
SO much to see and learn.
The opening keynote was high energy and lots of fun. Speakers included Jamie Thomas, Dr. Danny Sabbah, and Tom Hawk.
We learned about the exciting announcement about IBM Rational Software Delivery Services for the cloud.
We were introduced to the three teams who participated in our first software reality show "As Real as It Gets".
We were introduced to the three teams today, and got to see how the Blue Team fared. You can vote for your favorite team at http://www.rscvote.com/
Scott Hebner, VP of Rational Marketing and Strategy included a slide about our social media activities (w00t!)
After the opening keynote, everyone raced off to their favorite sessions and I headed over to the Swan to check out the Executive Summit.
This afternoon, I want to head over to the Jazz cafe and then at 5pm, the Solution Center and Exhibit Hall will open with a reception.
Let's see what trouble I can get into for the rest of the day.

Some stuff I'm
looking forward to...
and MOST of all,
to meet colleagues, friends, and clients in PERSON. As much as I'm a
social networking geek, nothing replaces a nice face-to-face meeting
with people I only see rarely, and in some cases, have never met in
If you can't make
the conference, hopefully you can follow along at home via the
RSC@Home Keynote replays, a Remote RSC event near you, or just follow
along HERE, where I'll be live-blogging the event.
Also you can
on Twitter, or follow the #rsc2009
Twitter stream to see what EVERYONE is saying.
AND, we have aflickr pool created. Please join and add your conference photos!
Looking forward to
meeting you at the conference!

The new moo cards are here! The new moo cards are here!
Pat O'Connor did a great job this year designing our Limited Edition, highly collectable, sure-to-be-worth-MILLIONS Rational Support moo cards for RSC 2009.
How do you get yours?
1) Wander down to the Solution Center and find the eSupport pedestal (look for the blimp). Pat O'Connor, aka @RationalWebGuy will be manning the pedestal and will have cards.
2) I will be at the conference, in the role of roving reporter. I'll be blogging, twittering, taking photos and getting into trouble. I will have cards. So how do you find me? Follow http://www.twitter.com/rationalsupport.
3) You may even occasionally find them lurking in random corners of the conference.
Only the Shadow knows....
As I've just attached a graphic of the invitation, if you would like to RSVP, please send an email to Jen Entwistle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you there!
is a nifty visualization tool created by someone in IBM research, and publicly available.
Geeks rule!Rational Software Conference 2009
Well, it's official.
I'll be making my 4th trip to the Rational Software Conference
in Orlando, May 31 through June 4. Whoo hoo!
I'll be blogging and twittering and taking pictures, and being a general nuisance.
We've got a Twitter ID: @rsc2009
. We've got a Twitter hashtag for all your #RSC2009 tweets. We're on facebook
We've got Danny Sabbah, Steve Mills, Scott Hebner, Grady Booch and ... the Mythbuster guys
There will be 2009 limited edition Rational Support Moo cards
, if I ever get off my butt and order them.
The indefatigable Patrick O'Connor
will be manning the eSupport pedestal
in the Solution Center and would LOVE to show you the new and whammy IBM Support Portal, scheduled for full deployment later this year.
Very exciting stuff ... more to come, I'm sure!
Who else is going? Tweetup, anyone?
