Notes from Rational Support
Well, it's official.
I'll be making my 4th trip to the Rational Software Conference in Orlando, May 31 through June 4. Whoo hoo!
I'll be blogging and twittering and taking pictures, and being a general nuisance.
We've got a Twitter ID: @rsc2009. We've got a Twitter hashtag for all your #RSC2009 tweets. We're on facebook.
We've got Danny Sabbah, Steve Mills, Scott Hebner, Grady Booch and ... the Mythbuster guys!
There will be 2009 limited edition Rational Support Moo cards, if I ever get off my butt and order them.
The indefatigable Patrick O'Connor will be manning the eSupport pedestal in the Solution Center and would LOVE to show you the new and whammy IBM Support Portal, scheduled for full deployment later this year.
Very exciting stuff ... more to come, I'm sure!
Who else is going? Tweetup, anyone?
In the Kellypuffs' archives:
As I've just attached a graphic of the invitation, if you would like to RSVP, please send an email to Jen Entwistle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you there!
The new moo cards are here! The new moo cards are here!
Pat O'Connor did a great job this year designing our Limited Edition, highly collectable, sure-to-be-worth-MILLIONS Rational Support moo cards for RSC 2009.
How do you get yours?
1) Wander down to the Solution Center and find the eSupport pedestal (look for the blimp). Pat O'Connor, aka @RationalWebGuy will be manning the pedestal and will have cards.
2) I will be at the conference, in the role of roving reporter. I'll be blogging, twittering, taking photos and getting into trouble. I will have cards. So how do you find me? Follow http://www.twitter.com/rationalsupport.
3) You may even occasionally find them lurking in random corners of the conference.
Only the Shadow knows....
Can't get to RSC2009 or any of the Remote RSC events? Register for webcasts of our Day 1 and Day 2 keynotes and watch them from comfort of your office. We've got a powerful set of general session speakers lined up:
Day 1 - Real Insights, Real Results with Danny Sabbah (GM of Rational Software), Jamie Thomas (VP Development, Rational Software) and Tom Hawk (GM, Global Industrial Sector)
Round 1 of Keynote presentations will be available on-demand after 8:00 a.m. ET on June 2nd.
Day 2 features Steve Mills (SVP, Software Group), Al Zollar (GM, Tivoli) and Grady Booch (IBM Visionary and all-round Wicked Smaht Guy)) sharing Real Innovations.
Round 2 of Keynote presentations will be available on-demand after 5:00 p.m. ET on June 2nd
Don't miss this opportunity to hear what all the buzz is about!
We're off to see the wizard!
Finally! The 2009 Rational Software Conference is almost here!
We've been primping and preening and prepping and polishing, and this weekend, Rational Support will join thousands of Rational Software fans in travelling to Orlando for what is SURE to be a fun and informative week.
Some stuff I'm looking forward to...
and MOST of all,
If you can't make the conference, hopefully you can follow along at home via the RSC@Home Keynote replays, a Remote RSC event near you, or just follow along HERE, where I'll be live-blogging the event.
AND, we have aflickr pool created. Please join and add your conference photos!
Looking forward to meeting you at the conference!
Arrived in Orlando this afternoon for the Rational Software Conference. Meetings tonight before it all starts in earnest tomorrow.
The Swan and Dolphin is all decked out in Rational blue and the registration desk opens tomorrow at 7am.
As REAL as It Gets!
Houston, we have lift-off!
Registration opened this morning at 7am, which I'm going to use as an excuse for my blurry photos. We're all a little blurry this morning.
Today is Voice of the Client Day, and Business Partner Development Day, with sessions being held all day. Beth Friday, VP of WW Rational Support and Mike O'Rourke, VP of Development currently presenting the VoiCE keynote. Mike Loria, VP of Business Development will be welcoming attendees of Business Partner Development Day at 11am, followed by an illustrious lineup of speakers including Jamie Thomas, SVP of Development and Client Support, Steve Robinson, VP WW Sales, Sandy Carter, VP WW SWG Business Partners Sales and concluding with Dr. Danny Sabbah, GM of Rational Software.
Hopefully, my photos will get sharper as the day goes on.
Hopefully, *I* will get sharper as the day goes on.
I knew that IBM System z is powerful, but....

What are these for?
Scan your conference badge for access and you'll be able to:
Still racing around trying to take it all in and failing miserably.

After the opening keynote, everyone raced off to their favorite sessions and I headed over to the Swan to check out the Executive Summit.
This afternoon, I want to head over to the Jazz cafe and then at 5pm, the Solution Center and Exhibit Hall will open with a reception.
Let's see what trouble I can get into for the rest of the day.
