Here are typical steps that needs to be followed to set up TCP recording in Rational Integration Tester ( RIT ) . Suppose the TCP/IP application is running on the port 9089 on a <Application host>
1. In the registration.xml, make the following entry: <forward bind="TCPproxyhost:2000" destination="Application host:9089"/>.
2. Create a Physical Resource (TCP/UDP - Connection Type as Client ) to point to the host <Application host> and port 9089 and bind it
to a Logical TCP/UDP component with recording option as External Proxy Server.
3. The client connecting to communicate with the TCP/IP application has to be modified to communicate with the port 2000 and
4. Once the above configuration is set , start the recording on the Logical Component that was created. you should be able to see the messages in the recording stuido of RIT.
