When opening Rational Functional Tester (RFT), if you see an error like the following, it may be caused by RFT not getting enough memory for launching the Eclipse.
Error : Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error : A fatal Exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Here are some troubleshooting steps:
Try to decrease the JVM heap size in the eclipse.ini file located under "...\Program Files\IBM\SDP"
Set it to 512 (Default value would be -Xmx1024m )
For example, it would look something like: -Xmx512m
After this try to launch the tool. If that does not work, then try the following:
