Four times a year, we review and gather up content that has been identified by clients and support as the most useful technotes in solving problems or answering questions, and publish it in a document we call the Top Rational FAQ Links by Product.
This document contains links to the most frequently used self-help resources found on the IBM Rational web site used by both clients as well as the support team to resolve product issues and questions.

This includes tools to configure and manage the dynamic execution environment, an IDE that facilitates the direct use of the execution environment and build and test tools that can exploit the execution environment. Other areas might include SaaS solutions for collaboration and governance infrastructure and resource repositories for source and reusable assets. All of this, supported by an internet based user experience that enables collaboration and reuse.

Finally, it's our turn to try to the new improved IBM Support Portal.
The IBM Support Portal combines all support resources for all IBM software, hardware, and services. Over time, it will replace the different support sites currently on ibm.com and become the single site for all IBM technical support. And you can now click to try the new portal from any Rational Support product support page on ibm.com.
start with the portal, select the products you are interested in and
then view resources and information about them. You can change up
your product list at any time, and the list is saved between your
sessions. If you log in, you can also rearrange the portlets on the
pages to suit your needs. Learn more about the portal by viewing
these demo videos, introducing the IBM Support Portal's capabilities
and key features:
Since the portal is a key part of our efforts to improve your online support experience, we're anxious to know if we're on the right track. You can submit feedback via the Feedback link in the portal, sending a note to email@example.com, or by posting a comment here.
What you have to say will influence Release 3, Release 4, and beyond -- making the IBM Support Portal New! and Improved! every step of the way.

How do we do that?
We monitor trends and topics, both in the support tickets we receive and resolve, and the documents accessed out on the web. We use this data to target specific activities around the areas that matter to YOU.
We've noticed we're getting a lot of questions around the in-session detection feature of IBM Rational AppScan, and so our support engineers have created the first ever IBM Education Assistant module for AppScan:
Basics of AppScan Standard's in-session detection feature.
Check it out! And many thanks to Paul Esteban for his work.
What is the Rational RFE Community?
The Rational® RFE Community is a place where you can collaborate with Rational development teams and other product users through your ability to search, view, comment on, submit, and track product requests for enhancement (RFEs).
The community acts as a front-end database bridged to the back-end Rational ClearQuest® database called RATLC. New submissions, user comments, status changes, and developer comments are bridged between the Rational RFE Community and RATLC several times a day. The bridge to RATLC allows our development teams to work with the process and tools they are most comfortable with, while allowing our users to collaborate in an open community environment.
With this change, we can:
