IBM Worklight Studio also offers a mobile browser simulator that can be used during the development cycle to test mobile web and hybrid applications using a desktop browser. In addition to supporting cross-platform browser testing for mobile devices, the mobile browser simulator provides implementations of the various Apache Cordova APIs. By providing default implementations of these Cordova APIs, users can test hybrid applications that leverage device features without having to run on the actual device, decreasing development time and effort that would required to repeatedly deploy the application to a device.
Moreover, IBM actively contributes to the Cordova community. As the community adds new features and capabilities in the stack, IBM Worklight provides active support and integration, working behind the scene with the community, so customers can get the updated features in a timely, consistent manner.
