Using z/OSMF V2.2 Cloud Provisioning to stand up MQ resources

Enhancements to IBM z/OSMF V2.2, which will be generally available later this month, introduce new Cloud Provisioning capabilities for the z/OS platform. The sample z/OSMF workflows shipped in IBM MQ V9 for z/OS have been enhanced in IBM MQ V9.0.1 for z/OS, which will be generally available later today, to exploit these new features.
Cloud domains, tenants, resource pools and templates can now be created to provide services to rapidly provision and de-provision IBM MQ subsystems and resources. Tasks can be split by roles. Domain, Security, Network and Systems Administrators focus on providing the infrastructure, Service Providers focus on providing the services, and Approvers approve services so that they can be published to the IBM z/OSMF services catalog for subsequent consumption by Service Consumers.
Services can be driven via REST APIs, from the z/OSMF Web User Interface, from the z/OSMF plugin for IBM Urban Code Deploy (though currently limited to z/OSMF workflows) or from the sample Marketplace portal that will be made available with z/OSMF V2.2 later this month:
The Marketplace is essentially an easy to install plugin for z/OSMF. Once installed, the Marketplace Administrator can add services that have previously been approved and published to the z/OSMF services catalog, to the Marketplace. Service Consumers can then subscribe to services to rapidly provision IBM MQ Queue Managers and Local Queues and perform selected actions against provisioned resources:
