MFT Agents can connect to a queue manager either in bindings mode or in clients mode using a server connection channel depending on where the queue manager is running.
MQ v901 has made a simple and very useful improvement that helps to identify, at the queue manager end, the client connections originating from MFT Agents. All client connections now have APPLTAG attribute contains the name of an agent that made the connections. The following picture shows an example output of DIS CONN command for a connection coming from MFT Agent.
The command output indicates the connection is originating from MFT agent HA2. This would help customers in clearly identifying the MFT Agent connections coming into queue manager and take appropriate administrative actions. On similar lines the MQExplorer would show the connections as below in Application Connections panel.
Another tiny improvement has also been made for identifying connections originating from MFT Agents via the DIS CHSTATUS command. The output of DIS CHSTATUS would now display the RPRODUCT attribute as MQJF for connections originating from MFT Agents. The following picture shows an example output of DIS CHSTATUS command for a channel.
