The Head in the Clouds

Since June, I am spending a lot of time playing with cloud computing, and specifically with IBM DevOps Services. In the next few weeks, I will be updating my blog to share my experience with the DevOps Services and Bluemix platform.
DevOps Services is a Software as a Service (SaaS). Through a web browser, DevOps Services provides key capabilities to support agile teams, such as Track and Plan, Web IDE, Git Hosting, and Delivery Pipeline.
The Track and Plan feature allow teams to plan their work (Sprint planning), and then manage the stories and tasks. I already talked about Track and Plan in this other post.
The Web IDE provides everything you need to code your application on the cloud, from a web browser. With this source code editor, you have syntax hihlighting, code validation, code assist and auto completion. You can also easily import existing source code (drag and drop).
DevOps Services also includes a built-in source control management. Developers can store their code in a project repository, leverage parralel development and associate changes to work items for better traceability. DevOps Services supports both Git Hosting and Jazz SCM source control mechanisms.
The Delivery Pipeline service is all you need for continuous integration and continuous delivery. When a pipeline is configured for a project, teams can benefit from automated builds. And when a build completes succesfully, then the corresponding code is automatically deployed to Bluemix.
With seamless integration between DevOps Services and Bluemix, agile teams can leverage a cloud environment for their web or mobile development projects. Check http://jazzhub.com for further information.
