Surrounding Git with IBM Bluemix, DevOps Services, and RTC

jl.marechaux 060001NWA6 | | Tags:  devops-services bluemix git rtc ‎ | 11,656 Views
Rational Team Concert (RTC) V5.0 was officially announced at the Innovate conference in Orlando (June 1-5). During this week, IBM Devops Services and Bluemix were intensively showcased to demonstrate how quick and easy it is tyo create an application on the cloud, for the cloud.

One of the new capabilities in RTC 5.0 is the out-of-the-box integration with Git. This is nice because in an organization, not everyone will develop on the cloud with IBM DevOps Services (IDS). We can imagine heterogeneous environments. Some teams may work directly in the DevOps Services web IDE, deploying applications on Bluemix. Other teams may leverage an existing RTC environment, doing their development from Eclipse IDEs. Whatever you decide, RTC and IDS integrate smoothly with different Git environments.
So you choose the configuration that work best for you. Whether you favor cloud computing or more traditional development, you can rely on you source code on Git and leverage RTC / DevOps Services to plan and deliver your application quickly.
