Today marks the launch of the new IBM Emerging Technologies Toolkit Portal on alphaWorks. This launch represents an expansion of the technology preview toolkit we have been developing and shipping over the last four years to expand a much broader range of emerging technologies beyond Web services and Autonomic computing. The old ETTK, which many have come to know as IBM's primary delivery vehicle for preview/reference implementations of core Web services specifications is now known as the "Emerging Technologies Toolkit for Web Services and Autonomic Computing" (ETTK-WS) and is just one part of the larger ETTK family.
An important part of the new ETTK Portal is the new ETTK Weblog, a group blog co-authored by members of the various technology teams contributing to the ETTK family. I will be the representative posting on behalf of the ETTK for Web Services and Autonomic Computing. I will use that blog to talk about what's new and what's interesting in the ETTK-WS. I will also use that space to discuss various aspects of IBM's Web services and SOA related standards activities and to answer questions anyone may have about the specifications and implementations we are delivering.
In any case, hop on over to the new ETTK Portal and let us know what you think.
