and Bill Higg
have been talking about the BlogLines service over on their blogs. Personally I use SharpReader for a couple of specific reasons: 1) bloglines... being an Internet based service... is incapable of seeing the various IBM Intranet based RSS/Atom feeds I subscribe to, including the internal IBM Blog network. 2) notification popups in SharpReader allow me to use a "lazy grazing" technique for monitoring updates. When a feed update occurs, the popup shows up and I glance at it briefly to see if it looks interesting. I don't have to do anything to go out and view it. Now, It would be nice if SharpReader had support for the BlogLines API. I just don't like those other aggregators that do support the BlogLines API.Update
: "Dude, my name is spelled Higgins, with two 'i's, not Higgens with an 'e'!".... heh, whoops. Sorry Bill. Corrected.
