About 80% of the world's corporate data resides or originates on IBM Z. Node.js on Z is best suited for data-intensive (i.e. I/O bound) applications. Enterprise developers can now take advantage of co-location of Node.js applications with critical (i.e. applications and data) assets on z/OS to reduce response time and increase throughput. They can also leverage the trusted environment of IBM Z to ensure security and maximize uptime of Node.js applications. Developers can also choose to develop business logic using Node.js on z/OS or take advantage of its great cross-platform support by deploying Node.js applications written on Windows, Linux or macOS to z/OS.
