One of the key challenges facing businesses today looking to activate their employees on social business is dealing with platform adoption. The more the platform is used, the more valuable it becomes.
So how do you engage the workforce?
As Ian Warner, Managing Director at ISW explains in this interview with IBM VP for Ecosystem Development Mark Hanny, they developed the Kudos Badges peer-to-peer recognition program to help organizations deal with this issue and inject an element of fun into enterprise social networking. For instance, if someone from a different team goes out of their way to help you, you can share a 'Thanks' badge with them that will sit on their profile for everyone (including their management) to see. How much more valuable is this than just sending an email of thanks? In the process of earning badges, employees will become naturally and organically more active on a social network.
Ian points out that by connecting their deep experience of the IBM portfolio with experts across IBM, they are able to provide more value for their clients.
