Expanding Latin America’s digital ecosystem in Brazil and Ecuador to create developer and entrepreneurial growth
Since the successful launch of Latin America’s 1st digital ecosystem, POAdigital, we’ve been hard at work expanding this important digital community throughout Brazil. As a result, we’ve launched a platform to grow innovation and entrepreneurship within São Paulo.
Announcing the launch of our 12th Digital City: SAMPAdigital.
What is SAMPAdigital?
IBM has partnered with the Municipality of São Paulo Development, Labor, and Entrepreneurship and ADE SAMPA – The São Paulo Development Agency to bring a digital ecosystem to São Paulo. SAMPAdigital is powered by IBM SoftLayer, built on IBM Bluemix, and provides access to jobs, education, events, funding, and more.
This platform connects startups, developers, academia, investors, and more to create a powerful, robust ecosystem for São Paulo’s tech scene featuring access to technical and financial resources and IBM Cloud software, services, and more.

Expanding to Ecuador
In partnership with CONQUITO, we’ve launched QuitoTech: a platform to grow innovation and entrepreneurship within Quito.
What is QuitoTech?
IBM has partnered with the Municipality of Quito to create the first cloud startup ecosystem in Ecuador. QuitoTech is powered by IBM SoftLayer, built on IBM Bluemix, and like our other digital cities, provides access to jobs, education, events, funding, and many other resources, while connecting startups, developers, academia, investors, and more to create a powerful, robust ecosystem and the first digital home for Ecuador’s tech scene.
