In this fascinating discussion with IBM VP of Ecosystem Development Mark Hanny, Sunil Subramanian of EDC Creative explains how museums are moving away from static exhibits towards immersive experiences fueled by gestures and augmented reality that brings the subject to life using the latest technologies. For instance in the upcoming KSCA cricket Museum and Experience Center in Karnataka - India, EDC is proposing to create the first of its kind “Hall of Fame” with 3D holographic cricketing legends, allowing fans a degree of interaction not possible in traditional museums.
EDC is working with IBM's Intelligent Operations Center team to build out analytics solutions that can monitor customers. For instance, looking at crowd flow can help in the better design of spaces and provision of services during peak times.
