IBM Cloud Ecosystem relocates to Bay Area
To better align ourselves with the surge of Cloud growth in the Bay Area, I’m happy to announce we’ve moved our IBM Cloud Ecosystem headquarters. The multitude of local cloud activity made the Bay Area an obvious choice for the IBM Cloud Ecosystem.
This move also helps us continue our key mission: fostering growth with developers, entrepreneurs, startups, academia, and business partners. Join us at #EcoDWest!
IBM Watson has expanded West, too. With the new Watson Hub in San Francisco, West Coast developers will have local access to a range of capabilities, including: language, vision, speech, and more offered through the Watson Developer Cloud.

Dynamic turnout at TechCrunch Disrupt SF Hackathon 2015 for IBM Ecosystem and Watson
Over 30% of applications built using IBM technologies were IoT-related − the largest number of IoT Bluemix/Watson applications built on Cloud at a Hackathon so far.
Hackathon winner: Analyze My Reviews
Analyze My Reviews used IBM Watson’s sentiment API on Bluemix to run a series of algorithms on reviews from Tripadvisor, Hotels.com, and Yelp using a Chrome extension. The result? Users can view the most important concepts from all the comments for that particular topic. The team was rewarded with GoPros and $120K in IBM Cloud Credits!
