AT&T in partnership with IBM offers developers the opportunity to rapidly build and deploy enterprise mobile applications.
We recently caught up with a number of AT&T experts who explained what the partnership means for developers.
Kevin Griffen points out that AT&T see Worklight as a strong platform for the development of B-to-E applications, and for this reason have been producing adapters that enable Worklight developers to quickly adopt some of AT&T’s services. Kevin highlights the new in-app advertising API that gives developers the opportunity to monetize their apps.
Ghiridhar Bhaskara from AT&T's developer program talks about the value to developers of building applications using IBM Worklight together with AT&Ts adapters which open up a number of their RESTful services, including speech-to-text, SMS and MMS.
In this demo Raj Sessetti shows how IBM Worklight and the AT&T speech adapters can be be used to build a professional contact app which can locate a colleague from the address book by speaking only the first name, and then text those details on to a third party using the SMS adapter.
