A recently prototyped solution demonstrates an OpenStack based environment using HEAT based templates and policy resource scheduling to deploy a cloud application to a private cloud running on IBM Power Systems with connectivity to a public cloud on IBM’s SoftLayer running IBM Worklight Mobile Services.
The solution showcases ease of deployment and management capabilities using "IBM UrbanCode Deploy with Patterns" tooling and "IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack" administration.
The solution also showcases Cloud Mobile Services with connectivity back to an on premise OpenStack deployed environment.

a) Linking on premise systems of records with off premise next-generation systems of engagement
b) Automation of application and workload development, deployment in a hybrid cloud
c) Extending Private cloud with Public cloud for new mobile services.
d) Ability to easily add new feature to systems of engagement (e.g. location based services to mobile applications)
