You have bought sophisticated UrbanCode, MobileFirst, or IBM Cloud Orchestrator software and you want to get the most out of your investment, right? You want to be notified when software updates, resolutions to any possible security issues, and troubleshooting information/downloads are published. How do you obtain this information easily? That's where My Notifications comes in! It is highly recommended that you subscribe to My notifications.
The IBM My Notifications system enables you to sign up for daily or weekly email messages or an RSS feed that is updated as soon as related information or a product update is published. You determine what kind of information that you want to receive, the products for which you want the information, and the frequency of the notifications.
Security bulletins document type
Security bulletins are an important type of document notification that you can receive through the My notifications service. Security bulletins provide crucial information about products, components within products, and associated IBM products in which a possible security vulnerability has been identified. The information that is provided in this document explains the type of vulnerability and provides information on how you can apply updates/make changes to address the vulnerability. These notifications are sent to your email address soon after the security bulletin document is published regardless of your daily or weekly email settings.
Other document types
In addition to security bulletins, you can subscribe to various other document types and downloads. Each of the document types are important to getting the most out of your product and knowing about solutions to identified problems. In particular, consider subscribing to the Downloads and drivers, Fixes, and Troubleshooting document types. With these three options, you will be notified when interim fixes, fix packs, and new releases are uploaded to IBM Fix Central for your specified product. The Troubleshooting document type includes solutions to known problems and links to potential code changes (APARs) that might lead to interim fixes or changes in a future release.
The following video shows you how to subscribe to specific product notifications through the My notifications service.
