By default, only compute node groups are defined in PCM cluster. Login to PCM management node (MN) as administrator. In “Resources” tab, go to “Devices” -> “Nodes”, click “Add”. Expand the Node Group drop down list.
To create two additional node groups,
1. Login to PCM MN via SSH as administrator
2. Create nodes via mkdef command
# mkdef -t group compute2,compute3
Warning: Cannot determine a member list for group 'compute2'.
Warning: Cannot determine a member list for group 'compute3'.
2 object definitions have been created or modified.
Note: Can ignore the two warning messages. They indicate that did not define any nodes as members of the groups. See man page for mkdef for details on how to define members as the same time as creating the nodes.
3. To see your changes immediately in PCM web console, must run the plcclient.sh command like this,
# plcclient.sh -d pcmnodeloader
4. The two node groups just defined can show in GUI.
