Abstract

Outbound transaction in Gentran Server for Windows do not make it to SAP.

Body

   Things to check for SAP-User which is entered in the SAP-Config in Gentran:     
    a) Password is all uppercase (limitation of RFC-Library)     
    b) Password has max 8Bytes (limitation of RFC-Library)     
    c) Your User in SAP is definitely not locked     
    d) Make sure that the SAP-Port is set to non-unicode, even if you  ECC is unicode.      
    
    Next is to switch the sap connection trace on.     
    a) start Gentran SAP configuration     
    b) use the next/previous buttons in the upper right of the dialog to go to the connection you are using     
    -->The  "connection name" (end of the huge parameter list) has to match what you use in your unattended session for the failing connection.     
    Connection Name that is used in process control session, sessions tab, edit of the respective step, after the -PATH parameter     
    
    Once  you have verified the connection being used,  click on the advanced  button on the right hand side in the Gentran SAP-Config dialog     
    in the following dialog tick the  "Trace".
