IBM Sterling Gentran Server for iSeries Keys and supported releases

IBM Sterling Gentran Server for iSeries is 3.6 Release is our current and only supported release for iSeries platform.   

****3.6 release does not require license keys (for model/serial number changes) for product and/or any add-ons (FTP, Viewpoint, SAP).  Activation for the product or any add-ons are toggled on/off via Gentran Main Menu>System Administration>Global Parameters>4th screen display EDIX415 FMT04.

3,5 Product and add-on (FTP, Viewpoint, SAP) keys are need if model or serial number changes.  Open a support case and request a key after obtaining the following information from the NEW system: 

• DSPSYSVAL QMODEL
• DSPSYSVAL QSRLNBR 

NOTE:  Always check the fix pack release level of your product to make sure you are on the latest cumulative fix.  Key in:  PTR <ENTER> at the command line from the Gentran Main Menu and your current point release will display.  Operating Systems supported with Gentran:Server for iSeries (ibm.com)
