Yesterday a new developerWorks article was published called UDR enhancements in IBM Informix Dynamic Server V10 - IDS support for OUT/INOUT parameters and Named Return parameters.
The article is concise with some easy to understand examples of using the Multiple OUT parameters, Multiple INOUT parameters and Named return parameters features in IDS using the three supported user defined routine languages, SPL, C and Java.
The author Vinayak Shenoi is the guy who developed the "Multiple OUT parameter" feature in IDS v9.4, as well as working on the newer features described in the article.
Next week I'll be blogging from the Microsoft Vista Application Compatibility Lab in Redmond, WA. I'm looking forward to the 3 hour train ride up from Portland. It's scenic drive by car and I'm told even better by train.
