We are pleased to announce that Data Security Systems Solutions Pte Ltd. has been acquired by Gemalto Pte Ltd (Gemalto).
With the acquisition, DS3 becomes part of Gemalto’s E-Banking division and the DS3 solutions are made available as part of the Ezio Suite, a portfolio of strong authentication and transaction verification solutions designed specifically for banks.
The Gemalto ownership allows DS3 to leverage on Gemalto’s global footprint and position as the global leader in digital security. Gemalto’s long-term strategy for DS3 does not change the existing server capabilities, the DS3 Authentication Server continues to be a multi-factor, multi-vendor and token-agnostic authentication solution. From a technology angle, the DS3 Authentication Server team remains committed to provide equal and fair support for all token types for now and the foreseeable future - authenticating devices from over 20 vendors, including tokens from RSA, VASCO, SafeNet, and Gemalto.
Gemalto’s entire activity within this field is based on a sincere belief in – and support of – open standards, end-user centric solutions and innovation through joint efforts. A key reason for the acquisition was to further reinforce Gemalto’s dedication to offer open, flexible and non-proprietary E-Banking security.
