Saw some real breakthroughs this week in our mission to create a lightweight, network deployable software client for deploying the World Community Grid inside a corporate network. Ian Williamson, the EB intern in Austin that is part of the project, has been the driving force behind this and it bears saying that he has been working like a man possessed! We've also benefitted from being able to work with Blaine Dolph and Kevin Reed in Chicago, both of whom have given us valuable leads and been great sources of information, etc. On the business side of the equation, I'm knee deep in evaluating offerings from Sun, Oracle, Microsoft, etc. and in looking at some of the cost drivers for what we're coming up with. It's really starting to look like we've got a viable business offering for IBM on our hands. This has definitely been the most exciting week of the project!
