The other day when I started to evangelize this blog amongst my Extreme Blue colleagues, our center manager asked what the blog was going to be about.
So OK my short answer was anything that takes my interest that is vaguely related to Extreme Blue and of course provided I stick to the IBM blogging guidelines
then there should be no worries.
But this got me thinking a bit more about both what I hoped this blog might become and what I wanted to write about.
So the first thing to say is that this is a group blog by Extreme Blue people, so we hope to give you multiple perspectives on our program.
We dedefinitely want to include some posts from the key people who make our program special - the intern teams
As to what I hope to write about on a personal basis, I chose to work at Extreme Blue because I do think it does cool projects
so I expect to write more about these in the future.
I am also passionate about the recruiting and talent focus of being at Extreme Blue.
We really do want to find, attract, employ and retain the best of the best, both for the Extreme Blue internships and for IBM.
So expect posts from me focusing on the recruiting
aspects of my job and about my wider interest in leadership and talent management.
I am also working at Extreme Blue because I am an unashamed geek and like cool technology so I intend to post about innovation topics.
Oh and by the way I make no apologies for being passionate about my job and about Extreme Blue.
I joined because I always thought it would be a cool place to work and I think we have a good team in Raleigh and across the whole of Extreme Blue.
