In this economic climate we are observing how the Social business is rapidly emerging and getting traction in the industry ; an increasing number of companies are considering to leverage the social business approach as a way to dynamically respond to business challenges by leveraging the power of the knowledge distributed across the community. In simple terms the business today cannot successfully face the rate of imposed change and the need to constantly perfectly meet high customer expectation without a profound reshape toward a more distributed , more agile and more collaborative way to think about the business itself....
As a matter of fact some interesting trends are also emerging : companies are today looking at how they can improve and measure their ' social business performance ' and on the other hand we see that also some business traditionally very centralized such as Venture Capital firms tend to transform themselves toward a sort of "fund raising community model"...
You may now wonder how social business is affecting
Let me clarify some points ... transparent development is much more than just "listening to customers" or even " understanding customer" ... the transparent development approach that Tivoli has recently embraced is a way to put the customer at the centre of the development lifecycle , is a way to give to the customer complete visibility to what's going on and ,more important, accurate control and collaborative influence on the outcome of the development cycle..
In today markets which are more and more segmented and where the value chains (often transient) are centred around the "prosumer" element (individual or customer who consume and produce content) ,Tivoli wants to play a vital role and wants to exploit at the best the power of its customer base and of the larger community .
We are currently in a journey to embrace the Social Business and transparent development and we are still in a process to fully understand all its implications.
Meanwhile let me share a few examples with some key lesson learned and take away for us..
We have in fact some important and strategic projects underway :

The takeaways and benefits have been very relevant and somewhat unexpected :
I want to conclude my blog by sharing a couple of observations where I would like your point of view :
