As you know, more and more of our everyday products, from cars to coffee makers, are becoming software based. And one misstep in the thousands of lines of code it takes to make these products run can have results that are frustrating to fatal.
We need new approaches to dissolve the historic silos between design and test to help companies overcome this challenge, helping them to deliver smarter, safer products faster, with less cost. We need innovative solutions to free up manual test time, and let engineers get back to what they do best: designing!
The Internet Evolution bylined article “To Build a Smarter Product, Stop Separating Design & Test,” is a great article on how Danfoss was able to innovate, save time and money and ultimately deliver a better product to their customers faster than before. And how it addressed the growing complexity of developing smart products by breaking down the silos between design and test. For more details you can also read the SmarterPlanet Blog.
On July 18th you can join eWeek's Chris Preimesberger who will host a public Twitter chat with Danfoss, NI and IBM to discuss on smart product development. We'd love your perspective in this conversation.
So, please join Chris Preimesberger, editor of eWEEK Magazine, Meg Selfe from IBM and Chris Washington and Dr. Tom Bradicich from National Instruments with your questions, comments and thoughts, by following the #designandtest hashtag on Twitter at noon eastern on July 18th.
