After IBM Case Manager V5.2 installation is done, you can configure the system and start building case management solutions with IBM Case Manager Tools. The tools are easy and simple to use and they help you to quickly build the case management solutions in three easy steps:

Step 1: Create an environment profile using IBM Case Manager Configuration Tool.

With the tool, you provide the application server, Content Platform Engine repository, and IBM Content Navigator details to configure the system for the profile. The Configuration Tool is used for the initial configuration of the system and you can run the tasks to deploy Case Manager solutions.

Step 2: Import a solution template and create a new one from the template using IBM Case Manager Administration Client (CMAC).

CMAC is a tool available as a plug-in with IBM Content Navigator. It serves as a user interface for performing administration tasks. The web client version of CMAC simplifies the administration tasks such as solution template import, solution creation from a template, solution copying, solution configuring, solution auditing, security configuration, and much more.

Step 3: Update the solution created in Step 2 using IBM Case Manager Builder.

With the Case Manager Builder tool, you can edit the solution created in step 2 and update the solution artifacts. Deploy the solution and you are ready to test the solution.

Version 5.2  of the tool allows multiple users to create different components such as customized pages, workflow designing, metadata creation, and view designing simultaneously in a solution. This facilitates faster solution development.
