We are running a SWG architecture board meeting this week. We are looking at our support for patterns, recipes, components and templates. We are also looking at our express and SMB products. There will be about 30
people here. There seems to be no substitute for face-to-face collaboration.
While writing this e-mail, I am listening to iTunes through a headset connected to my laptop. My cellphone is charging. There is a high quality speaker phone in my office, and the standard IBM office phone. I am about to join a conference call. I am wondering if we are ever going to get beyond travel for working together.
My secretary gave me a Darth Vader helmet that I am going to wear to the SWG AB meeting. It reminds me that in Episode V, Darth Vader is leading a search for the Millenium Falcon in an asteroid field. He needs to speak with the fleet commanders and holds a hologram based conference. Wouldn't be cool if we good do that? I wonder what the range limit on choking people with your mind is.
We are making progress, but we have a ways to go.
