New capabilities In Rational Rhapsody, that certainly will help the development community, enable team collaboration; sharing, and reviewing of design artifacts and improve validation of designs early. IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® Design Manager 3.0 leverages Jazz integration to enable teams to share design information on a central location that is accessible from a web client. The new Rational Rhapsody Version 7.6 development environment offers systems engineers improved activity diagram simulation and co-simulation with MathWorks Simulink, which can be used for early validation of functionality. Version 7.6 also includes a user interface with a new look and colors, improved testing support, and usability enhancements.
Check out this demo and see for yourself. The demo provides an overview of Rational Rhapsody Design Manager's capabilities to help teams collaborate, share, review and manage their Rational Rhapsody system engineering or embedded software design information within the overall product lifecycle. It shows how design information can be centrally located and accessed using a web client by the extended team or by a Rational Rhapsody client for system engineers and developers using Rational Rhapsody. A central location enables searching across design and lifecycle information to help locate information faster and assists in keeping the entire team informed of the current status of the design.
The demo also describes how to use Rational Rhapsody Design Manager to conduct design reviews that allow stakeholders to provide comments and visual mark-ups linked to the designs. See how you can trace from designs to other lifecycle artifacts using Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) based linking and visualize relationships between designs and lifecycle artifacts through a dependency relationship diagram.
Based on the Jazz platform, IBM Rational Team Concert provides a lean collaborative lifecycle management solution with agile and formal planning, project reporting, process workflow, work item management, source code management and build management, in a single integrated product supporting all popular platforms. Combine that with IBM® Rational® DOORS® Change Management integration feature and The IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® model-driven development environment creating real-time or embedded systems and software, then you have a full orchestra.
Check out this demo that provides a short introduction on using IBM®Rational® Team Concert for complex systems and software development. It takes you through a scenario that uses several IBM Rational products to show how process controls can be enacted through rule based process guidance. The demo starts in the Rational DOORS requirements database where integration is used with Rational Team Concert to create an implementation request for some work to be performed in an IBM Rational Rhapsody model. It then steps through a work flow using the features of Rational Team Concert to manage both the changes to the model and a formal review process enacted on the project.
It's all part of creating a smarter planet through software development!
IBM® Optim™ Performance Manager is a performance analysis and tuning tool for managing DB2 systems using a web interface. It can be deployed in two configuration options: Standalone and Extended Insight. Part 1 of this demo series shows the standalone configuration option. Part 2 shows the process of installing the Extended Insight feature.
Going green is more than a buzz word, it influences so much of what is important today. Both operational costs and capital costs are at stake. You have an obligation to reduce the money you spend and the risk that energy poses to your business. You have a responsibility to reduce energy consumption. Watch this demo to see how IBM® Tivoli® software can help correlate your power distribution infrastructure with your IT service management infrastructure.
It's all part of creating a smarter planet through software!
There are fundamental tools and solutions that are needed throughout the develpment lifecycle:
Requirements management: Helping you capture, analyze, and manage requirements from conception to end of life. Systems Modeling: Allowing you to visually develop complex systems using a structured approach across all design disciplines. Collaboration & Change Management: Enabling Synchronization of changes across mechanical, electronic and software disciplines and throughout the supply chain. And finally Quality Management: Helping you Deliver enduring quality with improved efficiency using a lifecycle approach to quality management

Tech Security is very important to all of us. Whether it is on the web or the safety of our company's data. As IT professionals we need to implement security everywhere to protect information. Hackers and unauthorized users are working their way into the computer systems of major companies and retailers across the country. As the bad guys get savvier, identity theft has become more common. Last year, the number of incidents of identity fraud in the United States increased 22% over 2007, according to the most recent survey by Javelin Strategy & Research.
As consumers and employees we expect our information, whether personal or work information to be secure. Check out these two demos to see how Tivoli is working on corporate security. Let's create a smarter more secure planet through software.
Tivoli security user compliance management
See how IBM® Tivoli® Identity Manager, IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, and IBM Tivoli Security Information and Event Manager work together to address security and policy compliance challenges, including unauthorized access by privileged users. IBM provides a robust and complete solution to address the user management lifecycle including the critical task of privileged user activity monitoring. This holistic approach to managing user access can improve your risk management strategy and your operational efficiency.
IBM® Tivoli® Access Manager for Operating Systems, IBM Tivoli Compliance Insight Manager, and the IBM Classification Module are integrated to deliver a first of a kind unstructured data security solution that classifies, protects and monitors sensitive, unstructured data. See how they work together to protect and secure your data.
Check out this demo of IBM® Rational® AppScan and IBM Tivoli® Access Manager. Together, these 2 products complement each other. Tivoli Access Manager grants access to web applications and Rational AppScan ensures that these applications are scanned and tested for vulnerabilities. This application security solution allows companies to preemptively and actively protect applications from external and internal threats, increase efficiencies, support compliance and improve an organization's overall security posture. Organizations should not neglect the important step of securing their web applications, the users that access them, and the data they collect.
After all, security is key to creating a smarter planet!
