In today’s challenging economic environment how do you set clear priorities and work within tight budgetary constraints? One solution is to focus on the areas of your business that bring the most benefit – areas where customers derive the most value. All too often, companies spend 80 percent of time and resources on solutions that deliver only 20 percent benefit.
As you chart your course, keep these tips in mind.
1 – Identify the problem you are trying to solve. Clearly understand the issues with your current solution. In some cases minimal tweaks can bring maximum benefit instead of a monumental rewrite that’s costly and labor intensive. Experiment a little and avoid a wholesale replacement unless you know for certain that what you are doing isn’t working for customers.
