CICS Explorer and MQ Explorer can now be installed into one shell without any additional efforts.
You have 2 choices to install MQ Explorer into CICS Explorer (or z/OS Explorer):
Install it from the composite Update Site - Joe Winchester describes it in his Blog.
Note that this is the preferred and easiest approach.
Download and install the plug-in (SDK),
you'll need this only if your Explorer is not allowed to establish an internet connection.
The following picture shows both possible update sites.
But where do you get the MQExplorerSDK.zip file from???? There is one little downside left: you still need to
- download the complete MQ Explorer here
- Install the complete MQ Explorer. The SDK will be in your installation directory (In my screenshot this is C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ Explorer)
Joe describes that process as well in more detail - but you can now leave out step 3 ("connect to the download.eclipse.org/releases/helios update site to add Java and Debug perspectives")
Now have fun with MQ and CICS Explorer working together :-D
