Do you have a Web Experience Factory portlet which you've customized for various languages? That part is very straightforward; setting a language-specific title for that portlet is not. Here's what to do.
- Edit the file WEB-INF/bin/deployment/portlet_base.standard286. Locate the element <supported-locale>en</supported-locale> and add in locales for the other languages you want to support. For example, to add French and Spanish, it should look like this:
- Look in the WEB-INF/classes/nls directory. You should see a property file for your portlet, with the title, short title, and keyword values. Make copies of that file in the same directory, giving the new files names which reflect their locales. For example, copy locale_sample.properties to locale_sample_es.properties for Spanish.
- Edit the new property files, and provide the appropriate values.
That's it! Log into portal and set your language to use a locale you've configured, and you should be good to go.
