Thanks for the useful info Chris. <div>&nbsp;</div> I once came across this problem and it was my bootlist showing wrong device in there. Changed it back to bootable device, hdisk0 in my case, and it worked. <div>&nbsp;</div> bootlist -m normal hdisk0

Thanks for your comment mfaisald. Yes, an incorrect boot list can cause this type of issue. <div>&nbsp;</div> If multiboot is ON, then your LPAR will always boot into SMS, regardless of your AIX boot list and/or LPAR profile settings. <div>&nbsp;</div> Cheers. <div>&nbsp;</div> Chris <br />
