When you are on older version of IBM Log Analysis, you must follow the following upgrade path to get to the latest Log Analysis 1.3.5.
There are no direct upgrade paths to upgrade from Log Analysis 1.3.1 or 1.3.2 to 1.3.5.
For all upgrade, you must install the new version of Log Analysis, then you must backup and restore the data from the old version to the new version.

When migrating from LA 1.3.3 to LA 1.3.5, this additional item is backed up and migrated by this procedure on top of the above items.
In addition to the above items, a number of files that are not required for a new installation are also backed up and maintained for reference purposes. These files include:
Data other than the types of listed previously are not backed up or restored. Any customization that is made outside the files that are listed here must be migrated manually. For example, user information and changes to passwords for default users are not migrated to the target server.
LDAP information for one LDAP server is migrated automatically. If you have more than one LDAP server, you must migrate and configure the information from the other LDAP server manually. The migrated information is stored in the ldapRegistry.xml file.
