Passing OMNIbus geographic data to DASH

Technical Blog Post

Abstract

Passing OMNIbus geographic data to DASH

Body

I have created a new three video series on passing geographic data from an OMNIbus Event List to enable display as markers in a DASH map.  The series seeks to break down the concepts involved:

Passing OMNIbus Geo data to DASH: Part 1 - a hard-coded Impact policy
Part 1 shows how to populate a DASH map widget with markers using a datafeed from a hard-coded Impact policy

Passing OMNIbus Geo data to DASH: Part 2 - passing OMNIbus event data to a DASH widget
Part 2 shows how to use an Impact policy to extract data from a JSON formatted string issued by the Event Viewer, so that OMNIbus alarm content can be displayed in a Table widget

Passing OMNIbus Geo data to DASH: Part 3 - putting our use-cases together
Part 3 combines what we learned in the first two videos to extract geographic data from a JSON formatted string using an Impact policy and provide an output parameter that can be used for markers in a DASH map widget
