At or around Innovate 2013, IBM released a new Agile ALM Scrum process template for RTC. The Agile ALM Scrum template is based on the Scrum template, with modifications promising better support for Agile Planning with Scrum.
After reviewing the new template, I became interested in morphing a Scrum-based project to the Agile ALM Scrum definitions. My first step was to create a summary of the differences between the two templates. (Thank you to the template authors for their help in finding and understanding these changes.) The Summary document is available here: Link-to-Summary.
I've started morphing my first project and plan to create a document describing the detailed changes required to implement each section listed in the Summary. The first two Summary sections, which describe fairly simple modifications, already have links to detailed documents. In my opinion, the biggest bang for the buck in the new template is the revised team dashboard, but the new dashboard relies on many other changes to the template such as new queries, reports, roles, work item types, and work item modifications. Also note: The Agile ALM Scrum template is not yet included in RTC product downloads, so you must download and import it if you intend to use it for new projects. The template has been tested against RTC 4.0.2, but is expected to be compatible with all 4.x releases. The template and related assets are available here: htt
