I have been getting a lot of requests for BTU and power consumption information on Storwize V7000.
You can now get the numbers here:
The interesting thing is that the website shows two numbers:
- Maximum values
- Measured values while performing a typical workload
This second number is a good step towards creating a useful number for comparison purposes.
IBM is a member of the SNIA Green Storage Initiative that is working to create standardized measurements
of power consumption and heat output under various workloads.
