In the preparation for Pulse 2014, I've been talking with folks from the IBM Software Accelerated Value Program (AVP) team to see what exciting things they are planning at the conference on February 23 through February 26. Recently, I caught up with Janis Thomas, IBM Accelerated Value Leader and Pulse Red Carpet Lounge coordinator, to find out what's in store for Pulse attendees.
Can you give readers a quick refresher on the IBM Software Accelerated Value Program?
Janis: Absolutely! The IBM Software Accelerated Value Program is a personalized technical advisory service for our customers that complements and enhances IBM's standard Support. We partner our clients with an IBM Accelerated Value team of experts who build unique relationships and deliver ongoing services. These include a range of side-by-side activities from onsite assistance, smarter working practice advice, skill-building activities, issue management, help with deployment planning, through to the facilitation of new IBM product adoption across whole enterprises. The Program's ultimate achievement is that is assists clients to quickly accelerate from software purchase to software return-on-investment.
What is the Accelerated Value Red Carpet Lounge, and what can customers find in the Lounge this year at Pulse?
Janis: The AVP Red Carpet Lounge is an established and important part of the Solution Expo at Pulse and is open for both AVP clients and all other event attendees. We have comfortable areas within the Lounge for our AVP customers to relax between their busy Pulse agendas where they may enjoy refreshments, chat with fellow AVP clients, check email, and take an opportunity to update their status and views on social networking sites. We welcome customers throughout the event who want to find out more about AVP - our doors are open every day in line with Solution Expo times. I am confident that everyone visiting the Lounge will learn a great deal on how they can engage with our Program to achieve so much more from their IBM Cloud & Smarter Infrastructure software in 2014 and beyond!
Do you have any exclusive events for your AVP clients this year?
Janis: IBM Pulse gives us a perfect opportunity to thank our AVP clients for their valued business, and we will again be holding our AVP welcome cocktails on Sunday between 6PM and 8:30PM in the Lounge. The annual prestigious AVP Client Appreciation Reception will take place on Monday from 5:30PM to 7PM, also in Red Carpet Lounge. And of course we will be tweeting details of all our scheduled activities from twitter handle @IBMSoftwareValu (#avpatpulse). Within the Lounge we have private meeting rooms where our AVP customers can meet with AVP managers to discuss critical topics. It's a fantastic opportunity for our team and our customers to get together!
How can IBM customers contact you for more information about AVP before or following the Pulse conference?
Janis: Customers wanting to learn more can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and can also visit the IBM Software Accelerated Value Program Web site at www.ibm.com/software/support/acceleratedvalue.
And If you could sum up the importance to Pulse attendees of finding out more about IBM Software Accelerated Value in a single sentence?
Janis: Just a few moments of your time discussing your needs and talking to our team in the Lounge at Pulse could positively change the whole outlook of the value you get from your IBM software!
Thank you for your time Janis!
Janis: You're welcome, see you at Pulse!
