Hi Elizabeth
I fully agree - surely Larry can afford to do some TPC benchmarking on Exadata V2? Often, benchmark results are nowhere to be found when the reality doesn't match the marketing spin and that's the logical conclusion we can draw from this vacuum of hard info.
Which also takes me to something that is a lot closer to home - IBM's XiV storage. There's a lot of blog commentary around people experiencing performance issues with XiV - which IBM tends to dismiss out of hand.
For some years now, IBM has been really really great at providing us with excellent and current SPC benchmarking results for the IBM DS-series arrays, SVC etc - but now with the XiV that previously great track record's gone west. What gives?
