Regarding the 8-chip/16-core AMD Opteron SPECint_rate2006 result, Sun also has a 4-chip/8-core result for the same server, which falls slightly behind IBM's 4-chip/8-core Opteron blade result. I'm surprised you didn't catch this.<div>&nbsp;</div> What is really impressive is HP's 4-chip/8-core Opteron result, which beats both IBM's and Sun's Opteron results by over 10%. What are they doing down in Houston?<div>&nbsp;</div> As for the comment about Sun's 8-chip/16-core x86 result, IBM has an x86 server which scales to 32-chips and 64-cores. But IBM has only posted results for this system configured with 4-chips/8-cores.
