The fact that you have the world's fastest Unix system does me no good if I'm not permitted to use it by management policies. You need to do more and better marketing, so my management and customer base get the message. They need to get the message in order to support or demand that our applications get ported to PowerPC platforms. <div>&nbsp;</div> While there's plenty of info on the internet about the Power6 for those that go looking for it, my management doesn't go looking for it - they need to "stumble across it" - and it has to slap them in the face. They are blissfully unaware of the IBM product line right now, and the improvements that have been made. The last time they looked at IBM, the comparative performance vs. Intel/AMD was unremarkable. That picture has changed with the Power6, but my management and customer base don't know that.<div>&nbsp;</div> Please do more to get the message out, and get it in front of people who aren't actively looking for it.

N, Thanks for your comments. I'd suggest that you show your management and customer base the IBM site at http://www.ibm.com/systems/power/hardware/benchmarks which highlights POWER6 performance. We would also be happy to talk directly with your management. Please contact me at estahl@us.ibm.com. Thanks !
