Restarting the Big SQL Service
The best way to restart the Big SQL Service is to start the headnode first and then start all the workers in a batch.
This is done as follows:
- Stop the Big SQL service
- Go to head host
- Start Head Node
- Start Workers
- Pick workers for batch start
Stop the Big SQL Service
From the Big SQL service page, choose stop from the service action dropdown.
Go to head host
Once Big SQL has stopped, from the Big SQL Service page, click on the Big SQL Head host link:
Start Head Node
From the head host, start the Big SQL Head component:
Once the Big SQL Head node is started, go back to the service page and choose “Start Workers”:
Pick workers for batch start
Choose how many workers to start together in a batch and issue start.
Big SQL will be started successfully.
When all the workers are started, you’ll get all green bars.
