I just can't figure what is a real value of having shared storage pools on VIOS.
There are so many drawbacks (no redundant VIOS, no Active Memory Sharing, No Virtual Partition Mobility!?!?!?) and clear value - just making easier SAN configuration, which is, IMHO, more personal than technical issue.
When I say "can't figure a real value" I am comparing functionality of this feature with shared storage functionalities of other virtualization technologies, like VMware or Citrix.
Am I missing something? Is there anything else about this, beside less SAN administration?
